Michiel Tjepkema gives a TEDx Talk on ‘The Beatles in my life’. In it, he talks about the significance of this influential English rock and pop group, featuring John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Ringo Starr, for his life. The group was active from 1960 to 1970 and is widely regarded as the most influential band in the history of pop music.
Michiel Tjepkema (1974) was associate professor at the Department of Constitutional and Administrative Law at Leiden University. He worked at the Council of State from 2018 to 2023 and currently holds a Chair of Public Liability and Mining Damage at the Open Universiteit and a chair in Administrative Law at the Radboud University. He is a member of the editorial board of the journal Overheid & Aansprakelijkheid and (co-) author of numerous contributions in the field of government liability law, including loss compensation, the mining damage in Groningen, unlawful decisions and government relief. He is also a deputy judge at the District Court of The Hague.
Next to his career Tjepkema is a Beatles-fanatic! He has been making podcasts about The Beatles with two friends for years.
